Krave Beauty: Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Review

One of my favorite flavors in food or tea is Matcha. Liah Yoo has been a huge part of this 180 degree change in my skin care routine. As an avid fan of her skin care videos, I was so proud and excited when she launched Krave Beauty. My skin care game has been simplified and I discovered more potent products for my active breakouts. I was contemplating on buying this instead of restocking my favorite Cosrx Low pH Good Morning gel cleanser but my love for Matcha products prevailed.

Packaging: I'm into the minimalist aesthetics with the ingredients listed below.

Claim: An antioxidant cleanser that doesn’t mess up your skin barrier, lifting everything your skin doesn’t want while leaving what it needs—healthy pH, hydration, antioxidants and no irritation. Matcha and hemp seeds are here to boost the skin’s intake of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Your skin and this cleanser might be a Matcha made in heaven!

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Review: Since I have been using a lot of acids lately plus the use of Salicylic acid 2% as a spot treatment, it resulted to a dry and flaky skin. I don't want to add more damage to my skin barrier by using a cleanser that will strip down the remaining moisture of my face. I used this cleanser for two weeks for am/pm routines and I can say I am quite impressed by how gentle it is upon application. I usually squeeze a pea-sized amount and foam it up with water. 

A little goes a long way with this product. The smell reminds me of freshly ground Matcha tea leaves.  Massaging this all over my face is not that hard as it glides smoothly. The rinsing part is like when I wash my face with Burt's Bees Intense hydration Cream  Cleanser, it feels like I still have a little film of soap on my face but this one is understandable as it is a hydrating cleanser. The good thing about this is I don't get that squeaky-clean feeling after washing unlike with my other deep exfoliating cleansers.

After two weeks of using this I can attest that it gave me a nice glow in the morning and I feel that my skin is at its best hydrated state because it doesn't strip down my natural oil. This is a great base for any skincare routine. I simply adore this because it is vegan, cruelty-free, SLS-free, dye-free, fragrance-free, and essential oil-free as well. The only down side for this cleanser is that it is a bit pricey.

Definitely worth pressing that reset button and starting my new skincare journey with this one. Have you tried any Krave Beauty products?
